In 1969 Jo's father describes a tornado as ``like an F5'', yet the Fujita scale was not introduced until 1974. 
 

In one of the scenes (the second twister encounter), the odometer on Bill's truck indicates 902 miles, yet in the next truck scene, the odometer mileage is now 239 miles. 
The last two rooms of the house that the truck drives through are upright though the house is lying on its side. 
When the tanker truck comes out of the tornado and skids into Bill's pickup, you can see the wheel/axle is plainly bent at an angle that would make the truck impossible to drive. But seconds later they are speeding down the road. 
 

Signs along one road are Texas state highway signs, although the movie supposedly takes place in Oklahoma. 

• Many times the views of the roads and/or scenery are inconsistent across cuts. 
• Character's clothes tend to clean themselves. 
• Jonas opens DOT3 after it is visible open. 
• The truck's tailgate after Dorothy II gets smashed by a telephone pole. 
• The final twister changes directions at least once. Yet when you see the track left by it, it is very straight. 
• When Jo askes about a F5 tornado Bill takes the cup out of his mouth. The next shows him drinking and them taking it out of his mouth. 
• When Jo leens out of the window to videotape "Dorothy IV" she has no videocamera. But in the next scene it appears in her hand.
